The host hotels for CheerExpo Grand Championships 2011 are the Delta Halifax and Delta Barrington. Both hotels are approximately 6 minutes from the Halifax Forum (event facility) and 35 minutes from the Halifax International Airport. The hotels are located directly across the street from one another and are connected by a pedway to each other and many other attractions (casino, shopping, etc), including a shopping centre that has a food court. Located in the heart of the city, both hotels are within walking distance from pretty much everything (Discovery Center, Citadel Hill, the Pier, museums, unique shops, many restaurant choices, pubs galore, Neptune Theatre, the waterfront, etc). PRICES AND INFO: Both hotels are offering a special event room rate of $109.00 plus all applicable taxes (all hotels charge levy and taxes) per night for Friday March 25th and Saturday March 26th, 2011 ($109 plus 2% levy and 13% tax ($125.63 inclusive). They may also be able to accommodate you if you wish to stay longer (i.e. Thursday or Sunday night). They are also offering one (1) complimentary guestroom for every 16 guestrooms actualized per night. This is great for allstar gyms! Rooms are booked on a first come-first served basis. Check for availability. The room rate applies to Single/Double/Triple/Quadruple Occupancy. All rates are in Canadian funds. All hotels in the downtown area have a parking fee. The Delta is pleased to offer a discounted parking rate to CheerExpo participants (self park only) of $9.95 per day per vehicle with unlimited in/out privileges (regular rate is $19.95 per day). Request for the parking space special rate must be made at the time of booking.

Did you know? Unlike many events with hotel affiliations, CheerExpo MAKES NO MONEY from you booking at the Delta Halifax or Delta Barrington. Rather than take an extra paycheque, we pass the extra savings on to you. That is your assurance that we recommend staying with the Delta purely because their CheerExpo rate is the best deal you will find in the downtown area. Can you find a cheaper hotel in "Halifax"? Yes. But it will either be a very low grade hotel or it will certainly NOT be downtown. If you are searching online and you find a cheaper rate elsewhere, make sure you mapquest it to find out where it is and research the area. Although many hotels claim to be close to many attractions, they mean within a 30 minute drive. The Delta is within a 5-20 minute WALK since it is in the heart of the city. Most other high end hotels (like the Delta) will cost anywhere from $150-$275 per night.

Check in/Check out: Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. Every effort is made to accommodate guests arriving before the check-in time. However, rooms may not be immediately available. Check out time is 12:00 noon. Requests to retain rooms beyond that hour should be directed to the Assistant Manager once the participant is registered. Should it be possible to extend a late check out, a late departure charge may be applicable.

RESERVATION PROCEDURES
You must make your own reservations by contacting the hotel directly prior to February 26th, 2011. It is standard hotel policy to request a credit card for payment of incidental charges. If you do not have a credit card, a cash advance deposit will be required at check-in. A major credit card will also be required for any late arrival requests. Cancellation policies differ between hotels; check your hotel for their policies.

Rooming List

An advanced rooming list must be submitted by February 26, 2011 to secure reservations. The list must be complete with:

First and last name of each person in each room
Date of arrival and departure
Smoking / non-smoking preference
What reservations, if any are guaranteed and form of guaranteed payment

This information will assist us in handling reservation requests promptly.

Please also indicate any special requests in writing (i.e. size of bed, crib, early arrival, late departure, etc.)

Any additions or revisions to the list, subsequent to its initial submission, should be made directly with the Reservations Department by telephoning (902) 474-5150 or 1-888-423-3582, or by facsimile (902) 492-6467.

All rooms must be reserved by February 26, 2011. At that time the group block will be reviewed and any unsold rooms will be released for general sale. The negotiated group room rate may be available after the cut off date. If you do require guestrooms after the cut off date, please call the reservations office directly for the best available guestroom rate.

Please note that space is limited! It is strongly advised to book as soon as possible to ensure that we can accomodate your entire group. Just because the reservation deadline is February 26th does not mean that we can guarantee that rooms will be available up to that date! Once the rooms are filled we cannot accomodate you. Waiting until February 26th is NOT a good idea!
